SUMMARY:Nurturing Wellness in Schools: A Mental Health Forum
DESCRIPTION:Partnerships for Sustainability Education (PSE) cordially invites you to attend “Nurturing Wellness in Schools: A Mental Health Forum\,” which will be held on September 9\, 2023\, at Edsa Shangri-La\, Manila.\n\n About the Forum:\nWe acknowledge the transformative power of education in equipping young individuals with knowledge\, skills\, and values\, empowering them to be responsible citizens and contributors to society. However\, amidst the pursuit of academic excellence\, we emphasize that the well-being of students should never be overshadowed.\n\n\n\nIn collaboration with renowned experts\, educators\, and student leaders\, this one-day forum aims to address the critical topic of mental health and promote a nurturing and supportive school environment that fosters the well-being of both students and educators in schools.\n\n \n\n	\n	\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n \n\n	\n\n\n \n\n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n🎓 Why Attend?\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n\nThe importance of this forum becomes even more pronounced when considering concerning statistics. A nationwide survey conducted in 2021 by the University of the Philippines Population Institute (UPPI) revealed that nearly one in five Filipino youths aged 15-24 have contemplated ending their lives. Moreover\, the Department of Education (DepEd) has reported distressing figures\, indicating that 404 learners from public schools tragically lost their lives to suicide in 2021\, with 2\,147 learners attempting to do so.\n\n\n\nThe forum\, a collaborative effort among world-class experts\, educators\, and student leaders\, aims to tackle this critical issue of mental health within educational environments. Our goal is to cultivate a nurturing and supportive atmosphere in schools that place the well-being of students and educators at the forefront thereby helping create a sustainable future for our communities.\n\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n \n\n \n\n	\n	\n\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n🌟 Featured Speakers:\n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \nCONG.
