SUMMARY:Nurturing Wellness in Schools: A Mental Health Forum
DESCRIPTION:Partnerships for Sustainability Education (PSE) cordially invites you to attend “Nurturing Wellness in Schools: A Mental Health Forum\,” which will be held on September 9\, 2023\, at Edsa Shangri-La\, Manila.\n\n About the Forum:\nWe acknowledge the transformative power of education in equipping young individuals with knowledge\, skills\, and values\, empowering them to be responsible citizens and contributors to society. However\, amidst the pursuit of academic excellence\, we emphasize that the well-being of students should never be overshadowed.\n\n\n\nIn collaboration with renowned experts\, educators\, and student leaders\, this one-day forum aims to address the critical topic of mental health and promote a nurturing and supportive school environment that fosters the well-being of both students and educators in schools.\n\n \n\n	\n	\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n \n\n	\n\n\n \n\n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n🎓 Why Attend?\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n\nThe importance of this forum becomes even more pronounced when considering concerning statistics. Moreover\, the Department of Education (DepEd) has reported distressing figures\, indicating that 404 learners from public schools tragically lost their lives to suicide in 2021\, with 2\,147 learners attempting to do so.\n\n\n\nThe forum\, a collaborative effort among world-class experts\, educators\, and student leaders\, aims to tackle this critical issue of mental health within educational environments. Our goal is to cultivate a nurturing and supportive atmosphere in schools that place the well-being of students and educators at the forefront thereby helping create a sustainable future for our communities.\n\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n \n\n \n\n	\n	\n\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n🌟 Featured Speakers:\n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \nCONG. SUMMARY:5-day Parenting Education Seminar at GSIS Elementary School
DESCRIPTION:🌞 day 1\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n\n\n	\n \n \n \nDay 1 of the 5-day Parenting Education Seminar at GSIS Elementary School facilitated by PSE was a success! \n🌟Day’s Recap! \n\nWe started the session by conducting a thorough needs analysis\, where parents openly shared their concerns\, worries\, and the areas they wished to learn more about to become even better parents. They came together and actively participated in group activities\, sharing their valuable insights and concerns. Each group presented their outputs in front\, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.\n \n\n\nThe highlight of the day was the thought-provoking discussion led by Teacher Rochelle Razo (PSE’s Executive Director)\, where we delved into the pivotal role parents play as leaders within the family. We explored the significance of leading by positive example\, nurturing open communication\, and creating a supportive atmosphere for our children’s growth and development.\n \n\n\nThe enthusiasm and active participation from all the parents made it an engaging and enlightening session. \n\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n\n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n\n \n\n \n\n	\n	\n🌞 day 2\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n\n\n	\n \n \n \nDay 2 of the Parenting Education Seminar at GSIS was filled with valuable insights and collaborative learning! \n🌟Day’s Recap! \n\n\n\nWe kicked off the day by diving into the first strategy of the The Virtues Project\, focusing on ‘Speaking the Language of Virtues.’ Parents actively participated in collaborative activities and engaging discussions\, sharing their experiences and perspectives.\n \n\n\nIt was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and willingness of parents to learn and grow together. By embracing the language of virtues\, we foster a positive and nurturing environment for our children’s development.\n \n\n\nAs we continue this seminar\, we eagerly anticipate exploring more strategies and practical approaches to instill virtues in our daily interactions with our children.\n \n\n\nStay tuned for more updates and join us in this incredible journey of empowering parenting! \n\n\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n\n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n \n\n \n\n	\n	\n🌞 days 3 & 4\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n\n\n	\n \n \n \n Days 3 and 4 of the Parenting Education Seminar at GSIS Village Elementary School 👀\n🌟Day’s Recap! \n\n\n\n\n\nWe had insightful discussions about the two strategies from The Virtues Project: Recognizing Teachable Moments and Setting Clear Boundaries.\n \n\n\nDuring our sessions\, we explored practical ways to recognize those precious moments when we can impart important life lessons to our children. We discovered how these teachable moments\, when approached with patience and understanding\, can have a profound impact on their character development.\n \n\n\nAdditionally\, we discussed the importance of boundaries to instill structure\, mutual respect\, and positive behaviors through consistency and open communication. It was heartwarming to witness the shared experiences and open discussions among the parents present. Their willingness to learn and grow together was truly inspiring.\n \n\n\nBy incorporating these Virtues Project strategies into our parenting\, we can create a nurturing environment that supports our children’s growth\, character\, and well-being.\n \n\n\nWe extend our gratitude to all the parents who actively participated in the discussion\, and we encourage everyone to continue implementing these strategies in their daily interactions with their children. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n\n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n \n\n \n\n	\n	\n	\n \n\n	\n	\n🌞 day 5\n	\n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n\n\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n Wrapping up the five-day Parenting Education seminar at GSIS Village Elementary School\, facilitated by PSE! \n🌟Day’s Recap! \n\n\n\n  On day 5\, we delved into the final strategy of The Virtues Project: The Art of Spiritual Companioning.
